Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is the timeout policy?
A: To use PreSales Operations and Product-Field Alignment, you must have an active Salesforce token; this is controlled by your organization's Salesforce settings.
You are logged out of Vivun after two weeks of inactivity. Additionally, all users will time out after one month, regardless of activity.
Q: Why am I unable to login?
A: Make sure your Salesforce and Vivun Admin(s) at your organization have assigned you a Vivun Permission Set and Managed Package license; without both of those, you are unable to login and access Vivun.
Q: What is the exact permission that allows users to log in to PreSales Operations, Product-Field Alignment, or Xpert Analytics?
A: Vivun attempts to evaluate what permission set a user has, and allows the following users to login:
Vivun Web App:
Vivun Admin User
Vivun Manager User
Vivun Standard User
Vivun Web App and VivunAI Chrome Extension:
Vivun Admin User
Vivun Manager User
Vivun Standard User
Vivun Gap User
In order to evaluate what permission set a user has, the organization must be on Vivun Managed Package 1.5 or higher* which has the ‘PermissionSetChecker’ object, or you have granted your Integration User system permissions to allow Vivun to query the ‘PermissionSetAssignment’ object.
The above is attempted in the following order:
Try to retrieve user’s permission set using the Permission Set Checker Object, then
Try to retrieve user’s permission set using the Permission Set Assignment Object, then
Check if the user has access to the Hero Activity Object.
Q: How does Hero know how to let a Salesforce user with an Admin Profile into the Vivun Web App if that user does not have a permission set assigned?
A: Vivun follows the same approach as outlined above for users, however, instead of looking for the Hero Activity Object, we check to see if the user has access to the ‘vh2__Execution__c’ Object which is guarded by the Hero Admin permission set.
