Vivun provides the ability to view and filter on custom fields without accessing Salesforce. If your organization has read-only custom fields, Vivun respects the Salesforce rules and renders the fields uneditable.

Tip: You must create Custom Fields in Salesforce first. Once created in Salesforce, you can access them in Vivun.

To have Custom Fields appear in Vivun, you must:

1. Create the Custom Field(s) in Salesforce.

2. Add the Custom Fields in Vivun (in this example we are using Opportunity).

Custom Fields Reference Guide

The following table shows which Salesforce custom field types Vivun supports and denotes limitations these field types have when you view them in Vivun.

Formula Fields

To ensure that all source fields and references to source field update on the Account or Opportunity objects, the following is true for Formula Fields used as Amount Source Fields on Accounts or Opportunities in Vivun:

  • You can use Formula Fields to reference Account Currency Fields.

  • You can use Formula Fields to reference locked parent Currency Fields that remain the same; the value for parent fields must be configured before adding them as a lookup relationship.

  • You cannot use Formula Fields to reference parent fields that update separately from an Account.

Note: If you have a source field on your own custom object that updates independently, Vivun triggers on standard objects (Accounts and Opportunities) cannot track updates for related Hero objects, such as Gap Amounts.
