Update Attach Rate Reports

Learn about updating the Attach Rate Report in Salesforce for Vivun.

Due to the nature of this report type, the ‘Attach Rate’ report both in the Activities and Deliverables Dashboards will need to be updated.

Important Note: You must complete these steps in Salesforce Classic, because Salesforce Lightning does not support the type of script edit required.

Deliverable Attach Rate Report Steps

  1. Login to Salesforce.

  2. Click the Reports tab.

  3. Search for Attach Rate under All Folders.

  4. Click on the dropdown arrow for (D) Attach Rate and click Customize.

  5. In the Common Fields and Formulas section double click on Add Cross Block Formula.

  6. Fill in the following fields:

    1. Column Name: Attach Rate

    2. Description: Percentage of deals touched by Presales

    3. Format: Percent

    4. Decimal Places: 2 (this is the default option)

    5. Where Will this formula be displayed?: All summary levels (Default)

    6. Formula Field: [Deliverables with Opportunity block 1]FK_Opportunity.vh2__Hero_Opportunity_Flag__c:SUM / [Opportunities block 2]Opportunity.vh2__Hero_Opportunity_Flag__c:SUM
      ​Tip: Leave a space between the word ‘block 1’ and ‘block 2,’ the formula will not save otherwise. Example: block1 and block2 will cause an error when saving the formula.

  7. Click Ok.

  8. Drag the Attach Rate into the Deliverables with Opportunity Block 1.

  9. Click Edit Chart.

  10. Fill in the following fields for Chart Data:

    • Y-Axis: Attach Rate

    • X-Axis: Opportunity: Close Date

    • Group By: Leave blank

    • Combination Charts: Check Plot additional values

      • Display: Line

      • Value: Attach Rate

      • Check Use second axis

  11. Fill in the following fields for Formatting:

    • Chart Title: Attach Rate

    • Text Format: 12pt.

    • Background color: Gradient - Diagonal

    • Y-Axis Range: Automatic

    • Legend Position: Right

    • Data Labels: Check the following options

      • Show Axis Label

      • Enable Hover

    • Chart Position: Above Report

    • Chart Size: Medium

  12. Click Ok.

  13. Click Save.

Hero Activities Attach Rate Report Steps

  1. Click the Reports tab.

  2. Search for Attach Rate under All Folders.

  3. Click on the dropdown arrow for Presales Attach Rate and click Customize.

  4. In the Common Fields and Formulas section double click on Add Cross Block Formula.

  5. Fill in the following fields:

    • Column Name: Presales Attach Rate

    • Description: Percentage of deals touched by Presales

    • Format: Percent

    • Decimal Places: 2 (this is the default option)

    • Formula Field: [Hero Activities with Opportunity block 1]FK_Opportunity.vh2__Hero_Opportunity_Flag__c:SUM / [Opportunities block 2]Opportunity.vh2__Hero_Opportunity_Flag__c:SUM

  6. Click Ok.

  7. Drag the Presales Attach Rate into Hero Activities with Opportunity Block 1.

  8. Click Edit Chart.

  9. Fill in the following fields for Chart Data:

    • Y-Axis: Presales Attach Rate

    • X-Axis: Opportunity: Close Date

    • Group By: Leave the default option selected

    • Combination Charts: Check Plot additional values

      • Display: Line

      • Value: Presales Attach Rate

      • Check Use second axis

  10. Click on the Formatting tab.

  11. Fill in the following fields for Formatting:

    • Chart Title: Presales Attach Rate

    • Text Format: 12pt.

    • Background color: Gradient - Diagonal

    • Y-Axis Range: Automatic

    • Legend Position: Right

    • Data Labels: Check the following options

      • Show Axis Label

      • Enable Hover

    • Chart Position: Above Report

    • Chart Size: Medium

  12. Click Save.
